Does anyone know of a good PC game that has modern weapons/infantry, etc?

Something turn based would be best, but I'm guessing most PC games like this are going to be RTS

Looking for a game that has most of the major players (US, Russia, China, NATO, etc…) and a nice list of each countries armaments.

Something that is modifiable by the gaming community too.

Thanks

Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm might be worth a look. It's 1980s era so might not be as modern as you are looking for, but seems to be very open to modding.

Currently on sale both on steam and the matrix games site:

Battlefront is coming out with Combat Mission Black Sea soon. Initial game will have US, Russia, and Ukraine forces. Modules will almost certainly add the UK and probably other NATO countries.

Previously it had Shock Force but that was missing modern Russian equipment focusing instead on Syrian equipment (and it was not up to snuff to take on modern NATO units).

I still dig the game Steel Panthers: MBT, its latest edition runs on windows and its good to the present day. It's a lot like squad leader set to computers with individual squads, teams and vehicles; hex based movement; off (or on) board artillery; air support.

World in Conflict is real-time but it has a cold war background

I am a huge fan of World in Conflict. However, check out Wargame: Red Dragon. It's on sale for half off via Steam digital download:

It's real time but it has everything you could want for combined arms. Red Dragon is the latest in the series and adds naval assets. There's campaign play…pretty much everything a wargamer could want. Managing large amounts of units can be a bit daunting until you develop the "muscle memory" for it. You play the game at a high level over the map for speed of organizing units. However, you can zoom down to the level of individual units to watch them duke it out. I love how tacked units leave trails through wheat fields. Plenty of attention to small details.
