I recently finished painting up batches of cops from West Wind and Tactical Miniatures. Very pleased with both lines, though they are quite different in style. It was a first for me as I tried a bit of freehand (with mixed results) on the Chicago Flag insignia. Regardless, I finally have some figs to accompany my CPD cruisers!

Nice work.

Very nicely done!

I have the Fairfax County Police myself but they never last long against rotters or looters.

As I live in Chicago I can point out two major mistakes:
Not enough white shirts(LT and above)
too skinny

Those look great!

Appears they don't subscribe to the kinder, gentler, PC policing method.

Thanks guys!

Charles,
I'm in Chicago too. I actually skipped the white shirts because the black dip doesn't look as good on white as blue. Now that I think of it I probably should have included one as a leader. A well, who needs brass anyway…

As for skinny, the WW figs are notably thicker , but none of these guys is as big as some of the girthier cops I've seen. I think you'll like the detectives and narc officers I've got in the queue, though they probably won't be painted til next year sometime.

They look good, the diff manufacturers fit together well too.

Very well done! These guys look very ready to hit the mean streets.

Very nice paint job.
Where did you get the police cruiser anyway?

Nice work on the minis – they go very well with the police cruiser!

The cruiser is "Welly" brand. I found them on ebay. The guy was selling off a bunch of them pretty cheap.
This fellow here seems to have a few left and at a bargain price:

A search for "1/43 chicago" will show others.

It's just slightly smaller ( a good thing) than the "Kinsmart" brand 1/43 FCV's that seem to be really common everywhere else and unlike the Kinsmart, the Well has the radio/computer thing on the dash and a proper screen in between the front and back seats. The wheels are a bit nicer also. However it does still has the dumb cast-on suitcases in the back seat concealing the pull-back motor.
