Hi, I had a small tabletop (75 cm x 75 cm) and I should realize an intro scenario (very simple) with my 1/72 miniatures alredy based for Crossfire. Any suggestions? Thanks Roby |

The flow of play in Crossfire is mainly determined by terrain density, so just make sure you''ve got lots and lots of terrain fetaures and a 2' x 2' table will easily hold a company if not a battalion sized engagement. |

MajorB is spot on. Fill the table with buildings! |

We used to play with a company and a few machine guns on a 2.5x2.5 foot table and had a great time. |

What they said. Lots of terrain and away you go, no changes to the rules needed. |

From my experience, if you get it to where the biggest gaps between terrain are in the 4-6" range, you will have a pretty solid game. |

Ortona. Buildings galore. You get Canadian infantry (the Hasty P's and Loyal Eddies) and German paras. Eric |

I can't read a word you are saying but from the picture, I'd say perfect. As you play more, you can experiment with some open spaces and learn how they affect the game. Also, the Crossfire yahoo group is super helpful if you run into problems or questions. Oh, one thing I'd ensure is that the gap between terrain features is about the size of an infantry base at the smallest. |

also try and have no edge to edge views (long views) as they kill maneouver, as they do in the real world. |

"What about that?" Yes that is the sort of thing, although you don't need to spread the terrain out evenly e.g. woods may consist of a number of smaller (dense) or larger (open) templates with either no gaps or varying gaps in between. Same for field sections. You can make quite natural looking terrain but still in CF style chunks. A few treelines and field boundaries go a long way to blocking LOS, as do low ridgelines. |
