Just curious if anyone had an army with them in units? I'd really like to know how others use them. For those unfamiliar, they are an old Grenadier cast of headless 'man' whose face is on his torso. You see similar in medieval etchings of exotic lands. Digging through old boxes I found a couple of blisters. Not seeing any threads mentioning same. Thanks! Doug |

I used them as undisciplined "monster" units attached to one of my fantasy armies. The purpose of such units was to cause initial casualties and break up the formations of opposing forces. On the other hand, units of "Stubborn Krots" (#1151) and "Tasmanian Devils" (#1152) were considered to be regular units because they are armed with weapons. |

The "Stubborn Krot" and "Tasmainian [sic] Devils" (not to mention the "Batlike Thing", 1153) are Heritage/Der Kriegspielers, not Grenadier. The "Hunched Back Grunch" is 1150 in the series. The Grenadier "Grunch Warriors" are #031 in their Fantasy Lords series (First Series) |

My mistake. The Grenadier Grunch figures were in blister #31 as stated. The Grunch with the two-handed axe is numbered M-280 on the bottom of the base. The Grunch with spear is M-279. I got them in 1988, but still have not painted them. I moved away from fantasy. Going back to the original query, I would have just used them as regular troops – weird, but no special capabilities. |

Now I'll have to search up some appropriate images on the net. Alas, none so far of any of the Der Kriegspielers mentioned. Thanks, all! Doug |
