Okay I will hopefully get my mitts on a Battlefront UH-1D slick What I need to Know is are there any specific paint schemes that 1st Air Cav Div used. Also did the UH-1D have a specific interior paint scheme. Lastly Are there any sources in the U.S. for Plastic Soldier Company Tank Warspray United States. I have looked everywhere I can think of with no luck. Help! Anyhoo thanks and salut y'all!

This should get you started:

Huey interiors were light grey, with olive green canvas seats, eg:

Yep ! There it is ! Flew in a cabin like that many times from '79-'90 … In '79 to say about '82(?), many of the UH-1s and CH-47s flying were vets of SE Asia …

Yes, Huey standard is green overall, mid-gray inside, green seats. Back in 1996, the aircraft mechanics program I was attending got a Colorado National Guard Huey. As we were prepping the bird for re-painting in school colors, we stripped a couple panels (the engine covers) and found flak damage that had just been puttied over…

That Vietnam Hueys website is a godsend, I'm working on my BF Slicks, putting 4 into 1st Cav (two as Crandall and Freeman's personal birds), 4 into 11th Cav as Blues, one as a Dustoff, and one as a Chuck-chuck/forward observer helo. Still need to buy 3 more BF Slicks, though. Also need 4 more UH1B/C Hogs and 4 more Cobras, since I plan on 2 of each weapons option for the heavies.

Yes, I've heard similar stories from chopper mechanics back then … old holes patched over, etc. … Like flying a in piece of history …
