I cannot find any WW2 partisans on the GHQ website. If there are none does anybody else make civilians in that scale?

Irregular Miniatures – they are brilliant for making all the odd bits and pieces that nobody else makes, searchlights, assault boats, you name it.

In the French list, WWTF9 Resistance Fighters:

You might also find useful figures in their Spanish Civil war list, or the 19th and 20th century guerrillas in their Civilians list.

Chris…the tanks appear rather crude, especially compared to GHQ. How are the infantry sculpts? I am interested in the resistance too. Ben

Irregular stuff often looks a bit blobby in bare lead but actually paints up very nicely.

Yes, the vehicles are bit crude, especially compared to GHQ, but some of the things they do (like 6mm train sets, horse drawn transport etc) are very handy indeed.

If you're looking for pure civilians (rather than partisans), you can get pre-painted Z-gauge model railroad people ("We Honest" on ebay got me mine) or architectural models.

you can think of using cowboys boers ( bacchus?) anything that can be painted as civilians with a bit of cutting hats and gear. even some malburians could be chaps with coats.

Think that in the countryside many people had king of slouch hats even the French did not go in beret under the summer sun.

… even the French did not go in beret under the summer sun.

Mais bien que oui!

At least in southwestern France the beret is very much word under the summer sun.

In the summer the beret is pulled forward, so that it forms a visor much like the English motoring cap. It is in the winter and spring, in the rain, that it is pulled to the side so that the rainwater drips onto the shoulder (and given the overhang, outside the collar of your manteau) and not in the eyes to the front.

Of course that doesn't help anyone find 6mm figures … but it might be interesting to some to know that the beret started as a very practical paysan's cap, not just a decoration for the head.
