Mabye not the most polite of question, but looking at the ranges. I wonder which one is the best seller. All their ranges are well liked in their periods, those that like samurais like perry samurais ect. But I think the 3 big are Napolonics(huge range, with lots of plastic boxes) AWI(big range now with plastic boxes) ACW big range with lots of plastic boxes)
Mabye WW2 is starting to pick up, but it's senterd on North Africa, not the biggest theater of war in WW2 gamming. |

I love their War of the Roses range and their old Boer War range from Foundry a close second. |

If you are counting all of Napoleonics as a range I would guess it would have to be that. There are so many plastic boxed sets, so many figures and it is a very popular period. If what I paint is any indication of it that would be it far and away. I must have painted 30 boxed sets of the plastic French infantry alone at this point. And then about three boxes worth of the great coated guys as Isabellinos more for myself. Although the AWI range is pretty big too. |

You know, I suspect the Perrys know I would not at all be surprised if it were their Napoleonics |

Not sure how much I would count on it, but the Perry website has a "Bestsellers" list on the right hand menu for whatever part of their selection that you are accessing. If you check the plastic kits page link then the top 10 list of 28 kits (including 4 buildings) is as follows 1.) WR 40 Mounted Men at Arms 1450-1500 2.) WR1 Plastic Wars of the Roses Infantry (bows and bills) 3.) WR20 Plastic 'Mercenaries', European Infantry 1450-1500 4.) BH 80 Napoleonic British Hussars 5.) FN100 Plastic French Napoleonic Infantry 6.) AW 200 American War of Independence British Infantry 1775-1783 7.) ACW 80 American Civil War Confederate Infantry 1861-65 8.) BH1 Plastic British Napoleonic Line Infantry box set 9.) FN120 Plastic French Napoleonic Heavy Cavalry box set 10.) ACW1 Plastic American Civil War Infantry This data probably takes into consideration only those kits sold directly through Perry website, and not those sold through other retailers.

I think there is also some sort of time bias to the list. I doubt that the recently released AWI British have out sold the long ago released Nap Brits, but I could be wrong. |

I think that the medievals must be very successful because they have expanded very quickly from the three core WOTR sets (English Infantry, European Infantry, Mounted MAA) with two more. I did not expect to see Foot Knights (MAA) or Light Cavalry in plastic. Now they have started Agincourt and there will be at least three sets (English Infantry, French Infantry and Mounted MAA). That will give them - 9 Napoleonic sets 8 Medieval sets 5 ACW 2 WW2 2 AWI 1 Colonial I think we can expect more WW2 figures soon. |

I think there is also some sort of time bias to the list. I doubt that the recently released AWI British have out sold the long ago released Nap Brits, but I could be wrong. Possibly true. I would at least presume that it takes into account sales made since the Perrys launched their current website and webstore. Anybody remember when that happened? That said, if you check the accessories section, the individual sprue of British Napoleonic riflemen is on the top of the list (2 plastic figures for £1.00 GBP). |
