A new project commences: 1/450 Peter Pig ships for Nic Wright's forthcoming 'Galleys & Galleons'. link |

They look very good, seems like a great scale for small spaces. I wonder whether the cost of the smaller parts has something to do with small bits being hard to cast. |

While not a naval guy, I felt this sounded a lot of fun. Please keep us informed of your experiences. |

The game is a lot of fun. Perfect for small engagements or campaigns. |

I played one game so far. While I prefer less abstract games, this was a lot of fun and got a good result. I use 1/300's. |

The PP pirate ships are picture perfect for these rules, which I have enjoyed playtesting an awful lot |

Looking good Doc. I have one of the Empire galleases as well but I'd be keen to see their galleon… |

Nice work. Good to see the dhow. Interested to see how it paints up. FWIW, my RPE converted 'Empire' ship has been reclassed as a jacht Q2 C1. |

That's a good move, Mr Hotspur. It's also handy to have some cheap ships for balancing points. Any ideas for what might make a good gunboat? |

I was tempted to use the PP rowing boats but to mount a thin piece of copper pipe (or a thick pin) in the bow. |

I think, ideally, that it should be a little bigger in length and breadth, judging from pics of later gunboats I've found. I thought about cannibalising some PP boats to create a larger craft, but I'm not sure that's particularly practical or advantageous. |
