Dark Sword sells a lovely princess miniature in 28mm on a winter solstice theme. The two painters did a great job on that mini.

Those paint jobs are amazing !!!!

While I am enormously impressed by the freehand brocade and embroidery work both the painters have done, I think both they and the sculptor have failed to capture the playfulness in the face of the character in the original sketch.

P.S. It's very early morning here--maybe I'm just feeling crotchety.

I love the Dark Sword figures and have a few and am planning on getting more. My only problem is the scale, at32mm they are noticeably larger than most other figures. While I realize that there are height differences some figures simply cannot be mixed. That being said for dioramas that are a godsend.

Not 28mm? I'm less impressed then….
