Love the concept. Would love even more to see mats for the FnF brigade rules. Great job. |

I was very pleased when I got some and realized that their 4x6 plus is really more like 56 x 76 so that putting hills under the mat didn't shrink the surface area to less than 4x6. |

I hope to see both brigade and regimental Fire and Fury items in the future as the mats look great! |

I wish I had gone further when I did mine on teddy bear fur, I also did a WW1 trench system, but these are far superior. Well done, I am up for pipe creek, I have a wish list for ALL the battlefields in Virginia and of course Sharpsburg and Gettysburg. Well worth the money IF they last especially if the wife decides to wash it for you. |

I would put my terrain right on top of the mat using the pictures as a guide. Too much like a board game to use just the imagery on the map. I would prefer the mats that look like terrain but no roads, walls or buildings printed on it so I can customize it as I like. I have ordered one of their grass fields mat just to check it out. |

Interesting. I had corresponded with John Hill about this type of battlefield mat and then I produced ones for Antietam, Peachtree Creek and Pea Ridge. 1" = 50 yards. Guess he and Osprey liked the idea so much they just copied it – even to the way the elevations are portrayed. If you want to see, go to www dot battlemapterrain dot com |

Rev Zoom, I thought I'd reply to your statement that John Hill, Cigar Box Battle and/or Osprey copied your ideas. Battle mats and terrain mats for wargames and RPG's are nothing new and have been around a long time. Games Workshop used to make a terrain mat and there are probably a dozen companies producing mats currently. I think there is plenty of room for all of us. Our historical mats are based on historical topographic maps, which feature all of the ridges, elevations, terrain contours and other terrain features. This is fairly standard in map making. As far as the way John Hill and Todd Davis specifically illustrate their designs, the first examples of this that I know of would be from John's boardgame "Shiloh Dawn", displayed at Consimworld in May 2012, and the "Shiloh – stubborn east flank" terrain mat used at Nashcon in May 2014 and the "Gettysburg – Day One" featured at Historicon in July 2014. To our knowledge, the first mention of your mats was on TMP in August 2014. We just wanted to set the record straight, since it seemed you were inferring that your ideas were copied. As I said before, there is plenty of room for quality gaming mats and we wish you the best of luck. Cory @Cigar Box Battle |

Rev Zoom – Those do look interesting, and the ground scale is more in line with brigade level Fire and Fury. Do you happen to have any pics of the Pea Ridge mat, and may we see some pricing? |

link Costs vary by size and type of cloth (I use the suede cloth on my own and those so far purchased) but run around $120 USD |

Tim – sorry, didn't realize I could put the link in. Guess I am too used to the Yahoo sites. |
