I've had one of these Corgi die-cast Apache models for ages but the desert paint scheme it came in never looked right. I repainted it the other day and I think it has come out well …

The primer/undercoat was straightforward Humbrol Matt black enamel, the finish was dry-brushed Vallejo acrylic …

The only 'special effect' is that the 'metal' is Humbrol's metalcoat gunmetal drybrushed with Vallejo acrylic silver … I think this gives quite a good burnished effect (actually it is how I do armour on medieval soldiers) and looks quite good here perhaps wink
