In tandem with the other thread, other than Eureka's scifi storm troopers, what is there out with in 15mm with a good "scifi nazi" feel?

15mm only please.

I found Khurasan's GOTA clans to be kinda sinister. The Earth Defense guys from Rebel Minis have a bit of a werhmact look to them.

Chatticus Finch12 Dec 2014 7:15 p.m. PST

I thing GZG's Brazilian models come across as being suitably sinister/ nazi-esque.

More along the lines of a sci-fi Nazi – like the clockwork bloke from HELLBOY who has the mask with the big glass lenses.

Those are the forces that immediately come to mind for Space Nazis.

Winston Smith12 Dec 2014 7:20 p.m. PST

The plural of nazi does not take an apostrophe.

Ewan Hoosami12 Dec 2014 7:28 p.m. PST

Wow! The only thing I hate more than Space Nazis is a grammar Nazi.

Hey Winston! With the amount of poor typing that goes down on this forum and you have to take a pot shot over something so trivial as the plural of Nazi. Man you must have some pretty low tolerance levels to have to let loose with a correction on that.

Proper grammar is the shield of the weak and the sword of the powerful. You don't hear Space Nazis proclaim "Yo, like Sieg!" Woe to those Untersturmbannfuhrers that submit a battle report with poor punctuation! KriegMadchen unt Hexenkommandos will eat you for breakfast.

Is this for Earth only, Interplanetary or Interstellar milieu?

Whoa!! Time to duck and cover!!

Earth or low-tech starfaring. Preferably grittier Traveller style

War Monkey12 Dec 2014 8:35 p.m. PST

RAFM has some that could work!?

picture

A good paint job and they could work. I think that they may have been part of the old Traveller range

I'd like to see your timeline.
You can use WWII weaponry, just make them gyrojets. Cheaper than beamers.
A Deutches Ares Korps in Martian camo would work as long as Mars has a breathable atmosphere.
Bubble-style commander hatches on WWII tanks can imply pressurisation, use 'squeeze-bore' tech or rail gun barrel substitution. Vehicles with High Energy Lasers (HELbores) should have power trailers.

just rambling

I think the eureka models are perfect. Our control battalion might do as well:

This is not a typing mistake. Apostrophe abuse is deliberate, and an affront to civilization.

Space Nazis = Helghast in my books, I'd vote for GZG's recently redone NSL, great figs. You can also use their recent robots and US army in hard suits from the Tomorrow's War range.

Best space nazi is a dead space nazi

Well, someone has to play the bad guys or there's not a game at all!

I bought a whole pile of the Eureka minis to use as the 808th Propagandakompanie, from Mamoru Oshii's Kerberos Saga. I added a few more when the range was expanded.

I have the Rebel Minis Titan Marines for use as Kerberos Capital Police in the 1950s or 60s (from the movie Jin-Roh).

Seems to me, that I had seen on a site somewhere, 15mm German heads with gasmask. if I can find it I'll post it, then you could think of maybe doing head swaps!

Sargonarhes15 Dec 2014 7:14 p.m. PST

Oh yes, khurasan. I already use you control battalion as proxies for Helghast troops. The best of the space Nazis.

cool2frog16 Jan 2024 5:55 p.m. PST

Kyoshouneko miniatures has print files for sale for 28mm that you can probably rescale to 15mm, but you'd have to check. I'm too poor myself, but I'd love to get it for my flames of war army to run as Jin roh wolf brigade style.
