Was wondering if there was anyone near Albany, NY who plays these? I'm considering in getting into them and am looking to see how the systems play.

You might have better luck posting on the Starfleet Universe BBS.

I'm near Albany, and used to play Star Fleet Battles years ago. I wouldn't mind trying either of these either.

Bill, I may have contacted someone through the Schenectady wargamers association. Shoot me an email at pvt64atmail.com.

Another vote for the Schenectady Wargamers. They meet once a month in the Albany area and are always looking for new games and new players.

They also host the Council of Five Nations convention every October in Albany. The convention has a good mix of miniatures, board games and RPG. They are into Star Fleet Battles in a big way. You can check out their web page for details.

Good luck.
