I'm looking to put together a couple Fleets using these ships. Anyone have a resource to give me an idea of how many of what kind to have "interesting and flexible" scenarios? US/NATO and Soviet |

You might look for the GDW Harpoon Battles of the Third World War or the Clash of Arms version High Tide. The latter is the an updated version of the GDW book. For smaller scenarios GDW Harpoon Troubled Waters which has several actual battles (Arab Israeli War, Iran/Iraq War) and some potential scenarios. Bulldogs Away might have a scenario book, I forget. Shipwreck has Freeplay 88, from the book Battle for the Fijords. Good book great scenario. All of these are set in the 80s while High Tide is 90s, AIW is 70s of course. I don't know of a source for more current scenarios. Oh, almost forgot, there is the GDW South Atlantic War (Falklands) and the Clash of Arms version. GDW includes ground scenarios for Command Decision |

Then High Tide or Battles of the Third World War are your meat Of course the is also the Fleet series of, out of print, naval games. Lots of big scenarios there |

use the fleets boardgames. you can find it all to download on cyberboard and else, including the rules. You might need to get some ships from shapeways too. |

For US naval forces, you can sometimes find reviews of different carrier group cruises, which list all the vessels names with them, including the subs, which can be very useful. Search for the carrier name, and years desired. |
