Opinion: will 1:144 scale decals work on 1:100 scale vehicles? Specifically army symbols and the like. Just curious if anyone has had experience with this decal size.

Yep, use them all the time. In fact for things like german style vehicle numbering is my preference.

All of my national markings (roundels etc) are Dom's Decals 1/300th aircraft decals which look fine, and like McWong I've also used their 10mm German numbers.
