Thanks for sharing your report. Sounds like fun, at least for the players involved. Certainly not for the admirals and captains. Modern naval combat is pretty deadly, so sounds about right to me, given the scenario. |

It was an odd, unexpected encounter, after a relatively long campaign where most of the work was done without contact. The only combat previously seen were small sub on sub encounters (in which the Soviets fared poorly, losing 2 subs to 1 damaged USN sub). But once everyone packs into one location, things happen fast. Other gamers in the club were asking about all the missile counters with paper notes… we told them that we could not keep track of all the missiles flying so had to write notes about them (what type, how many, target).
