many years ago I bought a pack of this (I am sure it was from Flames of War) but having checked their webstore – no joy.

Can some one point me in the right direction please

They're smoke & flames but not currently available on BF's store. Some ebay listings right now for about what they went for MSRP.

Edit: Ciaphas--I see you're in the UK. Perhaps there's a dealer closer to you that has something similar or the same product. I'll keep searching and see what I can find.

I have a bag of the BF flames and smoke I was just about to add to my sales thread in the marketplace. PM me and we can work out a deal.

Edit: just noticed you are across the pond, shipping might be prohibitive for such a small item, I'm not sure.

Sorry, I don't have any photo's, but I took the same Poly-fil, sprayed it with flat black paint, for a couple of dollars a can. The "black" paint came out in varied shades of gray. I used it to mark destroyed tanks in my 54mm games. It looked fantastic. It was incredibly easy, and effective. Give it a try. It will cost you a few Pounds, and a few minutes of effort (let it dry overnight!). Cheers!
