Howdy,

I am given to understand the Lodz Mini-Campaign will be posted on the ToB website as bonus material. The PDF will soon be available for download.

This (Lodz stuff) was never playtested, but uses the same scale (Corps level), and substantially the same special rules as Scenario No. 5 – The Tannenberg Mini-Campaign (which was playtested).

WooHoo!

Howdy,

I think the map does a good job of suggesting why the battle developed the way it did. Railroads were of critical importance in supplying Great War armies. The lack of RR, and change of gauge at the border goes a long-way to explaining the rapid disintegration of the Russian 2nd Army at Tannenberg, and why the Russian 1st Army did not advance farther/faster.

No need to create the apparent fiction of antagonism between the two Russian commanders at Tannenburg, there is a much more mundane explanation.

What a great idea, and great execution. I love campaigns at this level. Love the research and structure, too. Thanks.
