Having been a committed 15mm/6mm gamer for many, many years (since Minifigs came 5 foot or 3 cavalry to a strip), I have finally crossed to the Dark Side and ordered a couple of boxes of Victrix plastics. Worse, I've opted for the early period figures (I like bicornes). All my Napoleonic reference books are a) back in the UK, and b) probably out of date by now. Can anyone recommend a good uniform and organisation guide for French infantry of the Consulate and early Empire periods? Many thanks.

How about "Uniforms of the French Revolutionary Wars" by Philip Haythornthwaite ? See for instance:

Also try to use French to google – "les uniformes de l'armee francaise napoleon consulate" gave lots of results.
