Very helpful – one more big thank you from a reluctant horse painter!

That looks great, from the little bit I can see.

Saved, as well.

One trick I recall reading about is to use a satin spray finish for the horses, to get their coats to glisten a bit, and make them look a bit more realistic.

Haven't tried it myself, so can't say if it works or not, but sounds reasonable to me to give them a bit more sheen.

Very nice!

interesting, I'm a dull coat guy but a gloss on just the horse maybe.

If you had posted this 2 weeks ago when I started painting my first horses ever it would have scared me off. Now I can appreciate it. Thanks for sharing this.

I like the "do not copy or paste anywhere" notice at the bottom

I deny this heresy completely.

There are only five colors of horses: black, white, gray, brown, and dark brown.

I don't paint many horses, but this will help next time I do. Great find!

Guilty as charged….

In my opinion, some of those colors are way off, at least as they appear on my monitor. The lighter colors of horses seem to have that problem more than the others.

To me, some of those colors remind me more of a merry-go-round horse. I often see wargame horses that leave me with that impression.
