I love your work, even as a 28mm modeller who has never, ever, thrown a dice in anger Been waiting for these since you promised them. I asked for the spots on the leopard skin turbans, but did not expect the different colour centre, for each spot (a long story). Incredible (I have tried to do this in 28mm) Triple holsters. Perfect Six again. Except……….. there is a curse on this unit. No one ever gets them totally right. Never mind which manufacturer (even Perrys!) always something wrong. The moustaches…….perfectly done. BUT…… Officers and troopers all clean shaven, as with grenadiers a Chev. Strictly so……….. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH |

Lol I new there would be something I don't think the moustaches were sculpted on the figs I just painted them on . Question do the grenadier d'elite have moustaches? I haven't painted any on them but I'm not sure, Richard |

Outstanding work! Mustaches in 6mm is way too much for me |

As usual an inspirational painting for 6 mm, I have some Sho Boki 6 mm in front of me and appreciate by that only how small these figures are in reality and only by that I can appreciate the effort of painting all those details. 3 "etages" versus 2 "etages" Triple holsters from 1808 onwards – before that only double ones, so the figures are right for 1808 and later Grenadiers D'elite? – what unit should that be – Carabiniers à Cheval or Grenadiers à Cheval |

Grenadiers a Cheval of Garde all clean shaven. Dragoons same whatever their rank. Gendarmes d'Elite only one image shows an officer with a moustache (Mt St Jean website). Many dozens of images I have saved contradict this. Cuirassiers and carabiniers. Troopers hairy, officers shaven. Elite companies in other cavalry regts definitely moustache worn. Rest seems very variable…even amongst hussars! |

Gendarmes d'elite is what I ment sorry about that , thanks for the info deadhead there is just so much to research with napoleonic uniforms, I will be trying my hand with some of those beautiful Andrea miniatures 54mm napoleonics next year, just to see if I can paint to that scale and detail, will proberly be asking a lot of questions about the tiny uniform details then. Regards Richard |

Would be fascinated to see your work in 54mm! If you can produce mamelukes with striped turbans in 6mm……………. Will be great to see your Gendarmes. Clean shaven throughout, whatever their rank, and even 20 years after Napoleon…..the same. |
