Now this is the MINIATURES Page… not specifically the MILITARY Miniatures Page… So, surely a miniature does not need to be military in nature to qualify to feature here? Time for more from Martin's Models!
I seem to have been bitten by the Soccer Bug recently, something that hasn't happened in over 30 years, (ye gods!) although only in a very small way. How small? 1/72 scale. Read on for tiny soccer players, childhood nostalgia, and a video proving that wargamers are not the only ones passionate about thrashing each other with little men… link * Editors – please delete first attempt at this thread. Thanks!* |

The figs are nice; the bases completely detract from the appeal. |

The bases are for Subbuteo, the soccer game, I believe. |

The figures look good and the game looks like fun! |

I've still got my Subbuteo game I had from the 1960s. Used it to coach soccer for years. Chalk just didn't get the work done. |

Now if I could get some human and robot cricket players in that scale, I would be happy for a while! :) I do like those figures though. Wonder if they could be cut from their base.

Hmmm, wonder what happened to my subbuteo? |

Thanks for the comments, all. Paul is quite correct, the bases are for Subbuteo. Hey, Hey You – (you get that a lot?) – Check my article in the link; These figures were cut from their original bases, and glued to the Subbuteo bases. |

I played so much Subbuteo Soccer, Hockey and Cricket when I was a kid. Soooooo much fun. Great game! |
