Nice for modelers and dioramas. For my wargames, pretty useless. Perry makes some beautiful eye candy though. |

When the range first appeared it was argued that many would use them in wargaming The Retreat as an extended skirmish, a small scale, 1:1 ratio, exercise. I think Perrys have reached that stage where they can afford to indulge themselves and, just sometimes, make what they enjoy creating. If only to show just how skilled they are. They will not make their fortune out of castings like this. However much you love them, you will not order 10 at a time! They can now afford to cater for minority interests (eg those minor German states) or conflicts that never even happened (The British Intervention in ACW). Cuirassiers and line upon line of infantry in "March attack"(which we now know it is not) are what earn the bucks. These are just marvellous………..yes, Tango, they are (grin) |
