The pic of this wonder of modern warfare was made by my former colleague – a very brave woman who was crazy of Northern Africa & Tuareg culture. She visited some strange places where I'd never go. Among her photos was this truck…found it today on my drive and thought I should share it with you ;)

Like in 1 to 1 scale, you'll have to scratchbuild that !

unless it is the same one, there seems to be several of these gun trucks made.
it is a Toyota land cruiser with a turret from a brdm2, btr60/70 armoured car and some metal sheets, easy to do in 15 and 20mm.

Yeah, you can see one at the end of this line-up.

I'd kitbash it the same way they did – Toyota pickup, BPU 1 turret, and cut down a bit of tubing for the superstructure.

Might be the same… your pic properties says "Etia", and we have the same letters on the door of the car of my pic.
I still wonder why you put armored turret on unarmoured car…but I guess it's better than nothing anyway.
I was a bit surprised by the same colours/pattern of the soldiers'camo and the truck…guess it is easier to play chameleon near the car than hide in the desert.

Could be – there'll be a number after the ETIA, but with that obscured there's no telling if it's the same unit. An ETIA is a quasi special forces group of about 200 men, at least some of which were US trained – not sure how many there are/were, but seems to be at least half a dozen.

If your driver's good at finding hull down positions, it means the only bit the bad guys can shoot at has the protection….

As a PS from a spot of random Googling, this makes for a very interesting read….
