I've painted some of the new Austrian Generals from Blue Moon and posted photos on my blog alongside some other figure companies Generals.

Here's a pic of the Blue Moon figures.

I don't think my failing eye sight has done these figures a great service and I'd love to see these properly painted, but if you'd like to see how they compare with the other brands (also painted to my average standard) please look on my blog, here link

Thanks,
Colin

I think they look great – and I like the basing too!

They look good. You could also try the AB Austrian Officers, quite a range, easy to paint and really a cut above the rest. Tad more expensive but you only pay for them once and paint them once and then you have them forever.

I like the style of the horses, grazing patiently presumably amidst smoke and shot.

They do rather look as though they are sat on ruddy cushions though. Did the sculptor run out of greenstuff?

Yes, the saddles are bit off, but I also had too use some green stuff so there was less of a gap under the saddles. I need to look at the red I've used as its a bit bright tomato ketchup looking.
