I have been playing most of my war gaming life 100 years war period and i have fought almost all of the historical battles and fought against friends but i was never able to create a interesting solo scenario!Does any one have any good ideas?

Two Hour Wargames Rally Round the King would be a strong possibility for a rules set. It's not a scenario as you've asked but it is a game designed specifically for solo and same side play. link

As for a scenario, it would seem to me that you could play this one pretty easily. The English only needed to be fairly static in the big battles. It is the French that have the problem with maneuver. So it should be easy enough to put on the crown of France and fight the French side to completion.

I recommend "Scenarios for all Ages" by Grant & Asquith. Available here:

Battlegames also had a compilation of their first 12 Tabletop Teasers – not specifically solo, but they do provide general scenarios (some would be better for solo play than others).

Nicholas71,

Flower of Chivalry rules by the Canadian Wargames Group have a solo scenario based on the Battle of Castillon in 1453. The player controls the English and the French are pre-programmed. The rules are full of period feel and I have always enjoyed playing them although I have never played this particular scenario.

Hope this helps.
