Has anyone tried to game Napoleonic skirmishes with TS&TF? Any ideas?

I have done AWI games with TSATF.
Very successful and with very few changes to the core rules.

There's a Napoleonic version in the Files section of the 'swordflame' Yahoo group, I think…or the colonial Wars Yahoo group.

I have used an War of 1812 variant and had fun with it.

You could try the official TSATF variant Before I Was A Marshal, I Was A Grenadier and report back to us. :-)

"Before I was a Marshal…" isn't a TSaTF variant.

Thanks for the heads up on the Yahoo group. True, the Before I was…game is by the same fellows who produce TS&TF but is not a variant. Thanks all.

You don't need a variant.
I play AWI without one.
Rate all muskets as TSATF carbines for range.
Rifles are of course rifles.

We already have 2 grades of regulars, "British" and "Egyptian".
Militia can be Boers who don't shoot very well.
Play with that. For really crap troops, go one lower than "Egyptian".

use the Sword in the forest and modify it slightly. According to what I have read the musket didn't change much from 1770 to 1812. You will have to lengthen ranges and make a modification for Baker rifles, but morale should be the same for regulars. Make all regular units 20 figures. Elite units can be smaller if you wish, but guard units should be 20 figures. guard morale should be higher than regular morale. Landwehr would have the same morale as militia. I have used this and it works well.
