I am looking to convert and outfit some troopers with anti-armor weapons. While sniper rifles, flame throwers, plasma and fusion guns are available in different designs from many manufacturers I haven't had much luck in finding a belivable/realistic missile launcher or rocket-propelled grenade launcher. Before I start thinking about conversions I'd like to ask you peeps if you know anything on the subject. |

Those are pretty cool and the mortar is awesome (though I never cared much for the nazis in spaaace-theme). But I'm mostly looking for something man-portable. |

I think people should start thinking of Eisenkern as future Germans rather than space nazis, but maybe that's me. |

@Lardie the Great: The helmet does not help the impression, even though the US current Kevlar helmet is almost exactly the same design. Neither do the weapons designs, even though about half of NATO uses the MG3 (which has parts that will interchange with the MG42). @GhostofRebecaBlack: You can also get 28mm existing weapons from The Assault Group. American AT4 and M47 Dragon, Russian RPG7 (a design I expect to see used for at least another 100 years), and the British LAW 80. For actual scifi stuff, that's a bit tougher. Have you tried Hasslefree minis? link Several of the CAD Guns would make good antitank weapons. Even the Infinity line doesn't have a lot of antitank weapons in it, but some of the alien guns are sufficiently bizarre/unusual that you might be able to use one of them:

Lion I know what you mean, but the nazis were a political party they weren't the armed forces. The helmet design is halfway between both a Star Wars stormtrooper helm and a German helm (or a US "fritz") but people keep going on about "space nazi" there's another thread with it in the title. Anyhoo not to hijack the thread, Anvil Industries do great weapons some 40k ish, but have a look in the regiment for some great near future weapons including a 6shot grenade launcher…nice assualt rifles and shotguns as well… not to mention the sniper rifles. |

Not to hijack my own thread… well I am… the thing that gives me the most NiS-vibes is the WWII-retro looking guns and vehicles. It is not a bad line of models but most of it is not what I am looking for! I'm thinking about building and converting a futuristic RPG or missile launcher. PS. For you converters out there. Anvils various sights are awsome! DS. |

Ghostly Lady, if it's any help to you, kitbashing a missile system for 28mm figures is as simple as a box of 1/144 scale or 1/72 scale modern aircraft ordinance sets and some plastic tubing: hlj.com/product/ARI42035/Air
hlj.com/product/FXNB015/Air hlj.com/product/FXNB016/Air Another excellent source for conversion bits is to be found on HobbyLink Japan, specifically the option parts and kits from Kobotukiya designed for anime mecha kits, but useful for any sci fi subject IMHO:

Hope this helps!

Not sure if you are only after 'realistic/hard sci-fi' type figs, but if not, then Hydra do a very nice pulpy Retro Raygun trooper with a bazooka type weapon. Might make a good basis for conversion too. link |
