Want several (so links to Ebay singles are out) For VSF, prefer usable in Fantasy too, and possibly even applicable in Science Fiction colonial worlds gaming. I know of these – link – already. I also know of this one – link – which, because of the size, won't fit the aesthetics of my gaming table, so it is out sadly. Have not started research these – TMP link – so many possibilities in theory. |

Do you have any sketches or pics of what you're envisioning? There's a pretty wide variety of ornithopters out there:

I know of these – link – already. Pretty sure that's the one Terry Sofian designed for his rpg; originally started with 1/72? 1/100? WWI Albatross. They come in 1/48 as well, and hoping to get a 'thopter for 28mm ASAP. Ornithopters have been made in versions even wider than Dan's piccies. Evil Empire [tm] Dwarven Steam Gyrocopters, and similar Ral Partha Gnome 'thopters are the simple variety, as well. Doug |

J Womack 94, might make a nice "Medium Bomber" but right now I am looking for smaller one creature sized flyers. I will keep that in mind for later possibilities. |

Javelin 98, I am looking for something currently in production (available,) in 15/18 mm size for one "crew creature," and looking like it might actually fly (ignoring historical weight/power limitations by <switch to Maxwell Smart voice> "… this much!" |

TheBeast has it right I know of these – link – already. Pretty sure that's the one Terry Sofian designed for his rpg; originally started with 1/72? 1/100? WWI Albatross. I started with a 1/72 scale Albatross and the wing hinges are from a Huey UH-1. Scott Flower took my original and made it pretty! Then I sent one to Arun who digitized it for Shapways. They are available on shapeways! |

@J Womack I forgot about that, given that it's dragonfly, it's a stretch for 'orni'. ;->= Still, I've some old Mage Knight that might work for single carriage. Not IN production, but around, oft on eBay. Doug |
