Ok so it has been a while since I have done any micro-armor games. I sold all my WW2 and Modern years and years ago. Stupid I know.. I want to get back into WW2 micro-armor and would like to know which one would be close to what I want. I want Angriff! but no joy on finding a copy of that. I always liked the 1 mini = 1 vehicle aspect. We used to run multi battalion games, our battlefield was in the scale of 1 inch = 100 meters so it was 9.6km by 9.6km. It made for some good games. So what are the best rules out there this day for that? I probably won't go so big on the boards since I no longer have that size of a room to set up in. |

For 1:1 microtank games we use the excellent Kampfgruppe Normandy rules but you could just as easily use the revised version which is the Battlegroup series. Designed for 20mm they actually work a lot better for microarmour as the tabletop ranges become more appropriate to the model size. For bigger scale games we use "Spearhead" and "PanzerKorps" (depending on brigade or division level scenarios)then for larger games still (operational level) we have "Assault Gun" or "Megablitz" By basing everything on 30mm square bases we use the same figures for each level of game, plus without vehicles you can game "Crossfire" with them too. |

our battlefield was in the scale of 1 inch = 100 meters so it was 9.6km by 9.6km. An 8ft square table? How on earth did you reach the middle? Or did you all have very long arms? |

I always liked "Kampgruppe Commander II" (and original). |

Fistful of Tows (despite the name it also covers WWII nicely) may work for you. 100 meters per inch scale but platoon units with notes on how to play as single vehicles instead. A light version for Modern and WWII is available for free. Schwere Kompanie, lots of treadhead detail in that one, 50 meters per inch and also has a lite/teaser version available for free. I'm fond of Fireball Forward now but the ground scale is closer to 10 meters per inch. With Microarmor you could use CM instead of inches for measurement and it would end up 25 meters to the inch. |

WRG's 1925-1950 rules are free from the WRG website. PDF link I would recommend using the 1mm to the meter scale for micro armour |

GHQ's Micro Squad – The 1:1 Scale Game does what it says on the cover – and of course it's designed from the ground up for micro-armour. It was recently (last year?) released in a second edition and I think you can get it free as a pdf from Wargames Vault. |

Mein Panzer fits the bill perfectly. |

I second the votes for Kampgruppe Normandy's successor, Battlegroup Overlord. However, these are not the rules you are looking for… :) Perhaps these are is.gd/4hw3t7 Al |

You could try "Tigers and Stalins". PzGeneral (Dave) was selling copies back in June. I don't know if he has any copies left. Here is the original thread: TMP link |
