I was lucky enough to get a permission to offer a mini-course on simulation games for high school students. This month, they encounter Napoleonics for the first time. First Session: link Second Session: link |

Looks really good! Great to see kids getting to wargame. A lovely collection, too. |

Well done, and beautiful figures. I have a 2 year old girl at home, and a boy due in a few months, and I'd love some advice on how to inculcate Napoleonic wargaming into their lives! All joking aside, it's heart-warming to see your daughter taking the time to sit and roll dice with her Ole' Dad, you must enjoy a very special relationship. Cheers, Bob |

How many signed up for this class? |

My daughter plays skirmish games with me, but her twin brother isn't interested in a game unless it has a glowing screen. So you never know. My theory was to offer the exposure, but let them form their own tastes. Combatpainter, since it is a mini-class, it got scheduled after major subjects like math and history. I had about ten sign up, but only three were able to fit it into their schedule. |

Looks pretty neat. I've been running after school clubs here at a couple of middle schools, but had to stop this year due to my daughter getting sick. I received an email from the sponsoring teacher at one of the clubs saying the kids were disappointed aw those from last year were looking forward to another year. Some kids just need the exposure to get the bug… Rob |

I've been gaming since high school myself. Every time a girl looks at my table and says "That's so cool" I wish I could back to my high school self and shake some sense into me. |

Nice! Wish they'd let me do this where I teach. |

I run a gaming club at my middle school. I have 8 members including girls. They are playing the wars of the U.S. this year. Unfortunately we are on a short hiatus due to my taking the soccer coaching job to help out. However we will be back in January. The club is playing a game based on the British retreat from Concord. Next up is Bunker hill, then New Orleans. the kids really enjoy it. |
