Hello all, My resin Star fort is now available to purchase and can be found on my website here: link
Based on the Queens Sconce at Newark, it is fully cast in resin and supplied in nine parts – four bastions, three lengths of courtine and two gateway sides. The gateway side pieces are attached to each bastion with magnets – allowing you to increase the overall size if required with further courtine lengths.I can also add Storm Poles to the four bastions if required.
Available in raw resin (£90) or fully painted and flocked (£175) as shown.
This is quite a large kit measuring almost 21" (220mm) square and weighs apx 2.5kg in total.
*Special Offer* Due to its size and weight I am offering FREE postage within the UK and discounted postage for ROW. Check my website or F*book page for more details and pictures etc. Thanks! Paul – Paul's Modelling Workshop |

Looks great. Any chance of a 5 pointed star fort in the future? |

Paul Can you please advise the internal dimensions of the bastions and how wide the walkways are. Thank you |

Thanks Gents. @Generalstoner49 – when I made the thread showing the WIP version we had quite a good discussion about converting it into a five sided version – it was a few months ago on the Terrain & Scenics board. Basically, yes I am aiming to create an adaptor kit with an extra bastion and some angled courtine pieces that should make this possible. It won't be until sometime in the new year tough. @Sobieski – I am based in England if that's what you meant. @AussieAndy – hello, the internal dimensions of the bastion are long sides: 130mm, short sides to entrance 55mm, entrance gap 70mm, gap in side for guns 25mm. The width of the walkways varies between 20-25mm and then they slope away. The figures in the pics are on 20mm square bases, on a 25mm circular base they will stand up fine but there will be a slight lip. I hope that helps. |

Thanks Big Martin! Ooops! The gremlins got in, that would be an overall size of apx 520mm square NOT 220mm :-) |

Thanks Paul. Fortunately for me (but not Paul), I have just realised that this is in 28mm scale, rather than 15mm, so that has saved me from asking the terrifying question of the cost of postage to Australia. |

The artillery firing ports ? Do you not fire across the face to cover the next bastion and not out of the front of each bastions ? |
Paul from PMW | 10 Nov 2014 5:55 a.m. PST |
@ Mac1638 The answer would be both if I understand you correctly. However to have built gun ports on the small sides – ie facing each other – I would have had to build the Bastions very much larger for them to fit. This would also have increased the entire model in proportion to around three feet square or so. Much too large for the average table. As with most wargames scenery, it is a 'representation' not a 'museum scale copy' – so to speak. @AussieAndy – I do still have one scratchbuilt version left (looks almost the same and is a lot lighter) that I built for 18/20mm figures – if you're interested drop me a line and I can send you some pics and further details. Paul. |

Paul thanks for that, Wargame are always having problems with terrain scale and the foot print of thing on the battle field. |
