"TMP 4.0 question" Topic

I'd be inclined to say not, based on the proportion of crossposts that are basically gratuitous as it is – making it easier will simply encourage a tick lots of boxes approach rather than people thinking about which boards their post is genuinely relevant to.

PS – Interesting to see that you crossposted to about 20 boards for that Kickstarter, but not the, umm, crowdfunding board…. Really I'd have thought Maps and Crowdfunding was all that one needed, or if you really think it has "universal" applicability, just post it to "Wargaming in General" and leave it at that, rather than posting to such a multitude of boards.

I am in complete agreement with Dom. I do wish a little more thought is given to which boards are posted to and crosslink with. Posts are put on General type boards where there is a good specific board and crosslinked between them other post that are more general get linked to multiple boards rather than a more General board for suitable the purpose.

I am making that sound worse than it actually is but some more thought by some would help.

Can we attach them directly to our comments?

I mean without having to go to a photoserver.

At the moment, it appears that crossposting will go away in TMP 4.0. That may change as I learn more…

Will you be able to post photos directly onto the TMP server? Technically, yes, it is possible. Financially, I don't know how much something like that would cost us. Perhaps an option for Supporting Members, with a minimum amount of pictures and the ability to "buy" more space? How do other websites handle this?

Once I figured out how to host photos for free and link them here, it was no problem.

I notice some members don't know how to cut the photos down to 72 DPI. If they post a couple 2-3 MB photos….
