Alex of Shipyards has told me he has a problem. We can't work our where a bit is on the real vehicle. Can anybody shed light on the issue?

I should point out this is a 1:144 CADS master commision for us (Maneouver Group. Unfortunately the basic model will proably not print on my home machine and have to go to Sapeways or similar.

From Alex

Parts in red are not part of the real vehicle, but are a compromise for putting the bridges on on the physical model (as the way in which the real bridges are attached to the vehicle is:-
a) not 100% clear and
b) not modellable for 3D printing.)

OK… looking at the pictures in your flickr page, I think we are dealing with 2 different tanks.

I think that is the back for a Leguan instead of the 2

Aah. Mystery solved! Thank you, Haywire! We're not going bonkers, after all!

Yes, that is exactly it, isn't it?

The wierd thing is that shots in question of that bit appearing on two entirely different and unrelated walkarounds. (Which is why it didn't occur to me to look at the Panzerschnellbrücke 1, which I might have done had it only appeared in the one.) Must have been mislabelled or something by the gentlemen that did the walkarounds. It's just strange that both made the same mistake!
