GW is out of it's damned mind. link Are they trying to get people to leave them? |
Weasel | 31 Oct 2014 4:21 p.m. PST |
It's a nice hardcover I suppose but yikes, that's kinda steep. |
Only Warlock | 31 Oct 2014 4:22 p.m. PST |
They should have released in softcover for a $24.99 USD price point. |

Hey, it worked with their Specialist Games followers… |

And this is a surprise because? |
Only Warlock | 31 Oct 2014 5:54 p.m. PST |
Not a surprise, just sad. I had hoped with the corporate shake up they might try sensible policies for a change. Too much to hope. |

If you are looking for one search e-bay for the Stormclaw mini-rulebook, I also think the new Dark Vengeance has the 7th ed. mini rulebook also. |

Well, it does state that "it was created with the gamer in mind." You know that's gonna make it cost extra. |

It's only $20 USD more than the DBA 3.0 book, and that is a minimalist approach to Ancients and Medievals. If the 40K book is full color with all kinds of eye candy, then by my standards that is a reasonable price. Black Powder and Hail Caesar both retail for $48 USD, Field of Glory is $35. USD I would have expected a GW book to be more by comparison. |

I bought a lotto ticket today. If I win more than 30 million I just might get that 40k book…. ;-) |

If it IS a handy-dandy rules reference for the serious-minded player, then it shouldn't have a bunch of kewl ing pictures and little stories to begin with, because Nobody looks at that crap in the middle of a game. And so then it shouldn't cost sixty bucks. |
Mako11 | 31 Oct 2014 11:30 p.m. PST |
Only $58 USD? Seems underpriced to me, in the GW marketing world. Someone must be slipping, or on vacation. |

"I bought a lotto ticket today. If I win more than 30 million I just might get that 40k book…. ;-)" Bwahahaha, the $29,999,942 USD left will be spent on the minis for two opposing armies with all the extras. Oh, I almost forgot there are all the game accessories like dice and templates etc. You are getting hooked in Zephyr, you know it. Besides, it has a skull on the book! Not enough skulls I tell you! |

For another $30 USD and a little time searching on the web you can get the entire 7th edition Dark Vengeance box set. DM |

Well… I can consistently sell the mini-softcover for $40 USD on ebay. This is the one from Stormclaw and Dark Vengeance |
