Hi,
I bought several years ago Killer katana 2 and very recently Battles in the Age of War from Peter Pig.
I'm very disappointed about basing because i would want to use the 2 rules but basing are not the same. I have 6mm samurais from Baccus.
I would want to put severals (more) miniatures on the same bases instead of the number indicated by the rules to have a a great feeling of numbers but i don't know what dimension to take :
in KK2 : infantry = about 40mmx20mm
in BAW: infantry = 30mmx30mm
can you advise me ? what dimension should i take ?
have i to choose between the 2 rules ?
Thanks for your opinions and help !
best regards
Tane67

ps: BAW seems (about the rules) more developed than KK2 ; am i wrong ?

Hello Tane
I suspect that both sets of rules will work with either base size.
The PP 30 x 30 is quite a nice tactile size. With bigger figures it is useful in that it allows weapons to project forward and still be within the base footprint. This helps prevent damage when the bases are stored or moved into contact with other figures/bases. All PP rules use the same 30x30 base size since 1982
Hope you enjoy gaming this era.

You could create 4 x 2 bases, then double up to 4 x 4 with corresponding change in the distances

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your help and opinions !
I Think i'm gonna take 40x20mm and double it on a separate base if i want to use it with BAW :)
Can somebody tell me his experience with KK2 ? Some comparisons with BAW ?
Rules seems more developed on BAW ?
Thanks a lot !
