I know that troop types are like tools: they should be used in the appropriate situation and its silly to have a 'favourite' type. Umm, but I've always had a very soft spot for cataphracts, and these are beautifully done! |

Great looking unit, and why to this day I can't paint a decent dragon standard! |

Really nice work. The colour scheme works very well too. |

Sweet. I love cataphracts categorically…. |

It would seem the Romans would have a hard time with their eyesight considering they had all those cataphracts? regards Russ Dunaway |

I did like the subdued tone of the armour. Great looking troop. |

Thank you very much everyone I appreciate your kind words!:-) @Russ just for you so your not confused….Equites cataphractarii or if you prefer cataphractarii., but I like cataphracts so if don't mind too much I call them that. Oh btw what do you think of the unit while we are here? Christopher |

Nice work. though if it had been me, I would have changed the positions so that the lances didn't overhang the bases.. |

Exellent work. You certainly packed the figures on that base. Impetus basing just the best IMHO. |

Very nicely painted, the colour scheme is not overstated but it really suits the figures |

@Everyone Thank you very much! @Khusrau Thanks and I get your point as it looks a bit dangerous for the lances, but actually the gents holding the lances are the farthest back and don't interfere with other bases making frontal contact. Same on the sides in that it's not a problem for other bases to line up. I have thumb space in the middle rear for handling and failing that the lances are glued firmly in!:-) Christopher |
