I recall a discussion of an Union regiment being given excess Berdan Sharpshooter green uniforms. However I have searched the TMP message boards with no luck (I even tried a Google search on the TMP site).

Since I can't find it, I'll ask the question – were any Union regiments (that weren't the 1st USS or 2nd USS) dressed in surplus Berdan Sharpshooter green uniforms?

The 203rd PA were raised as sharpshooters and issued green uniforms accordingly; although didn't apparently act as such.

There is a painting in Don Troiani's book of them and a little bit of their history.

Here's a number of sites concerning the 203rd Penn. from Bing:

Thank you all for the info. One of the Bing links ColCampbell provided is the TMP discussion I vaguely recalled – was in 2011.

I was remounting some 15 mm Union figures I had bought eons ago and one was labelled the 2nd USSS. I already have a Berdan Sharpshooter's unit and was trying to recall if there was any other unit I could label it as rather than the 1st USSS. That's when I started looking. Obviously my search terms weren't quite right.
