Can anyone recommend some 15mm Prussians for 1806. I can find lots of Prussians for later, but none for 1806. |

AB Figures – utterly exquisite. |

Lovely range, but 18mm, so if you are after 15s these may not fit comfortably. Minifigs maybe? Chariot did an interesting early range, but not sure if that included Prussians |

Chariot – now owned by Magister Militum, I think – did have a range of early Prussians, but I have a feeling they were pre-1806 (ie casquets, rather than proper bicornes). Essex seem to have quite a full range, if you don't mind ranks of folk all about to do the splits (that's probably a little harsh – they may well be worth checking out):- link |

The AB 1806 Prussian are one of Tony's best efforts IMHO, probably along with the Peninsular Brits. |

AB hands down are the best out there, and a very complete range also with only the Towarczys missing for the late 1806 & 1807 battles. I agree with R Mark Davies & John Baxter that they are probably Tony's best efforts. |

They were 15mm when I bought them… |

Minifigs do them. link The figures are nice but there are a couple of major holes in the range. They don't do any fusiliers (I think AB are the only people who make these) and they don't do any artillerymen (but oddly enough the range does include artillery drivers). However, the cavalry are good (so long as you don't mind the look of Minifigs' horses, which aren't to everyone's taste):

Essex makes 15mm 1806 Prussians, including Fusiliers. |

The AB range is superb. It's complete too so you don't need to intermix with other ranges. Looks glorious on the field. Only missing the Towarczy's who are not required until the East Prussian Campaign. |

My army is all AB. None better! And wrt Chariot, yes, they are pre-1806, ie: Revolutionary war, Valmy etc. |

I have the prussian AB for 1806 and they are amazing. I would recommend them. Since I have moved to 6mm I am going to put the rest of my unpainted AB Prussian infantry on ebay soon. Michael |

I have some Blue Moon figs. I like them quite a bit. I'll delve more deeply into the range once it's a bit more complete. |

Could someone who has the AB figures for Jena give me the measurement from top of base to eye. My understanding is that AB figures slowly increased in scale over time, and I'd like to know if these are closer to 15mm or 18mm. |

Nick, Fusiliers – 17.5mm Jaegers – 17mm Musketiers – 17mm Grenadiers – 17mm Horse Artillery – 17mm Foot Artillery – 17mm For the above these are the marching figures, as I remember the firing Fusiliers were a little bigger, which is why I sold them off. John |

I've just purchased some Minifigs 3rd Gen. Prussian Infantry and now I'm wondering about AB. For those who know their AB napoleonics, which are the shortest and closest to minifigs size? Which French, Russians, Prussians, British, Poles, Austrians, Bavarians, Spanish do you look at and think, "Geeze! Those are short!" Cheers! Gallo |
