For some reason that I have yet to determine, the Hammers-Slammers.com site is temporarily down.

Until I find out why, the WayBack machine has a snapshot from June of this year:

link

It's a little slow and doesn't appear to have the PDFs saved but – for the time being – it is what it is!

If anyone is in desperate need of a particular PDF, email me and I'll send them a copy :)

Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

I think your web host is down. Certainly not a local dns issue on my end.

Yep McWong: I've poked at them and they are 'looking into it'…

In all fairness, this is the only time it's ever been out for more than an hour or so in almost 15 years but it's still really annoying :(

That's very good uptime, but yeah timing is always the problem

FWIW, it appears that the domain name itself expired:

# whois hammers-slammers.com | grep Status
Status: clientHold
Status: clientTransferProhibited
Status: clientUpdateProhibited

Googling that status provides pages which indicate this:

Why is my domain on "CLIENT HOLD" or REGISTRAR-HOLD in the WHOIS lookup?
A domain name with the Status of "CLIENT HOLD" or "REGISTRAR-HOLD" is expired.
You will need to contact your Domain Provider to renew your domain name.

Thanks theDar – I'm not sure it's as straightforward as that, though: I own several seperate sites using the same hosts qnd they are all down:(

I'm in communication with the host company, though, and they've said they'll fix it in the next 12 hours :)

I'd guess the host company probably forgot to renew all their domains.

Had this happen to my personal domain a few weeks back. Always happens this time of year as I never remember that once a year payment for the domain. Inevitably one of my users goes "hey, I can't get mail!" and I look at the date and go "Dammit! Forgot again this year!". :)

Still down I'm afraid: it is indeed a foul up on domain registration as all my other sites are back up and running.
