Let the festivities begin with the ceremonial shelling of the Presidential Palace!

Was it ever made clear exactly WHO Bongolesia became independent from?
Or is that power too ashamed to admit it?

Somewhat like the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, France points to Britain, Britain points to Belgium and Belgium Points to France. All agree it wasn't the Germans (but would like to blame them)

I thought it was those Imperialist dogs, Luxembourg…

Bongolesia was a clerical error. A mistake in drawing boundaries left this enclave unclaimed by the colonial powers, though all claimed it to be part of their dominion. Unfortunately for Bongolesia, the climate was so toxic that nobody would physically occupy it and certainly would not fight over it. Therefore, during the all night poker party at the Luxembourg Conference of 1948, it was agreed that all parties would relinquish their claims to Bongoliesia to the Casino in return for $500 USD in house credit each. That Casino was the property of Gross Daddee, who immediately appointed his grandson, P'hat, as temporary dictator until elections could be rigged, I mean, held to confirm that position. So, after a rigorous election campaign by the newly minted Bongolesian Election Commision, led by that famous neighborhood organizer, Cat Shannon, the surviving voters obliged P'hat Daddee with their non-refundable votes and Election Day became Independence Day. Or something like that, Murphy was drunk at the time and not totally coherent about the details.

Is Kanye doing the celebration concert this year or is just for the big man's birthday celebration? I get confused with all of the holidays. I did hear that P'hat Daddee is a phan.

Isn't today the championship game in Bongolesian Football. I'm wondering how the Alexville Rhinos did this year.
