Hello gamers, historians and weapons specialists.

The more I read about the flintlock musket and socket bayonet era, the more I want to read, and the more questions I have. I've found many excellent works on the subject, but now I'm looking for something a bit more specific.

Are there specific works which reference specific weapons, preferably with illustrations, made by specific manufacturers and/or in accordance with standard patterns, for the 18th century? Particularly the years from the general acceptance of the flintlock fusil and socket bayonet to the Revolutionary Era?

What are the specific muskets and where can I find pictures of them and info about them?

Any help, as always, great appreciated. Cheers.

Actually, here is the publisher's site and some titles of interest.

I thought Renee Chartrand did a booklet on the Charleville, but, if he did, I can't find it.

Gentlemen:

An excellent push in the general direction. Much thanks.

Here's one from the past:
I vaguely recall that the old TSR Valley Forge AWI rules had different firing factors for various muskets and artillery types by range and firing patterns.
As a word of warning however, the rules were misprinted and had half the rules missing and so are unplayable.

I'm not really aware of any factual data on performance or distinctions between different types of muskets from the period.

Same for guns.
