Nutty stuff. An article suggests that a former Major General is plotting an establishment sanctioned military coup. The Satanist comes in as the co-author on the Generals major work "From Psyop To Mind War". Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, who has been skulking around my neck of the woods in Montana, attempting to sell his version of the final liberty "solution" to the large community of patriots in the region. Vallely's answer to the problem appears to be an extension of the Operation American Spring project, which he has been promoting every year for as long as I can remember and has been relabeled over and over, and which has failed every year to produce the million-man armed march on Washington, D.C., that it calls for. The strategy has now evolved into what essentially amounts to a military coup led by neoconservative brass. Before Vallely settled in Montana to become a "freedom fighter" he was most famous for co-authoring a Department of Defense white paper called "From Psyop To Mind War," published in 1980. The other author of "From Psyop To Mind War" is a man by the name of Michael Aquino, who has a foggy career history beyond his status as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. military and allegedly an employee of the NSA. What is not a mystery is Aquino's religious orientation. The man is an open Satanist, a former member of the Church of Satan, and a current member of his own Temple of Set. link From PSYOP to MindWar: The Psychology of Victory. MindWar is defined as "the deliberate aggressive convincing of all participants in a war that we will win that war." That sounds pretty interesting. |

Staging a coup is one thing keeping power is the other, I remember the reptillian coup of 1975, now that was a busy weekend. |

John the OFM is right! It's 1933 all over again but with a satanic twist added to the cocktail of Fascism and Big Business. "Plus ca change, plus ca reste la meme." Major- General Smedley Darlington Butler was a great American patriot who almost no Americans seem to know anything about. Now I wonder if the Browns, Duponts, Barrimans, etc. are behind this one? Or is it just Satan? However JOFM, be careful with your predictions about the Air Force, for Lucifer was the fairest of all the angels and a deceiver to boot! Cheers. Rod Robertson |

Wackiness is spread all over. Gen Weasly Clark made the comment when he was running for president as a Democrat that the US was built on the concept of progressive taxation. Since a West Point graduate doesn't know the difference between the Constitution and the Communist Manifesto I think its safe to fear both sides extreamists. |

I don't agree with the article. I just post it as a funny article of interest. When it comes to gaming military coups in the USA, I think it is more palatable to game out a crazy one. This is a good scenario for that. People hit the panic button when a game is too close to reality. I haven't read the General's paper. From the tag line it does sound legitimate and interesting. "From PSYOP to MindWar: The Psychology of Victory. MindWar is defined as "the deliberate aggressive convincing of all participants in a war that we will win that war."" And Vallely's a birther. Does anything else need to be said? Is he really a birther or does he espouse a cross section of right wing views only to form an organisation to take names of people who the government considers dangerous? You shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet. That article was suggesting that the General, given his extensive connections with the NSA, works for the government. Also.. .satanist panic in 2014? What's next? You're coming for my D&D books?

Who needs Satanists when you have Libertarians? Seriously, I ran an occult bookstore for a number of years and I met Anton LeVey a number of times. He openly copped to the fact that Satanism was just Ayn Rand in Goth makeup. And for a Satanist, he was a rather friendly man if you didn't act like a jerk. To paraphrase a friend of mine, Anton LaVey was a 'thumb in the eye' to remind Christians that they were in a fight for spiritual authenticity. |

I wish my DM had looked like that! If this line of thought interests you, you might enjoy this novel (which I did not): TMP link I would hope that a military coup in the US is unlikely. But as a sci-fi scenario in a crazy dystopian future, it could be a lot of fun. |
B6GOBOS | 21 Oct 2014 5:59 a.m. PST |
what is this foolishness. The article is from a survivalist/preppers web site. Then you publish pictures from jack chick graphic novels that equate playing D and D with Satanism (oh and reading Harry Potter does the same thing). But I guess it is alright since you say I do not agree with this but… then good folks here on TMP call them out on it but they get locked accounts or there text deleated. But chortle goes his happymerry way spread this garbage? Bill you are causing and encouraging ths nonesense. And then using it to get rid of people who disagree withyourpolitics . No wonder people laugh at this site. |

'Can you game the paranoid fantasies of the far-left? Would you want to? Oh, I'm sorry. The left has no fantasies. Everything they believe is gospel truth. "Objective reality" and all that. grin' What's that got to do with anything? the thing is, this site is becoming basically the Stormfront of the gaming world – I've no idea why this is happening, as I've lurked here for years and have never seen this degree of extremist beliefs being pushed as gaming 'source material' before. There was just a recent anti-semitic thread, and now it's Satanists under the bed alongside. If you look at what's happening regarding sexism and abuse in the whole Gamergate# thing, imagine it when this site gets noticed for being host to extremist anti-semitic fantasies. I expect to see the Protocols of the Elders of Zion being linked to as legitimate gaming-friendly material soon. |

Now … if we could only get Satanists worldwide to hate the fanatical islamists enough to go on a 21st Century version of the Inquistition in reverse. Of course the islamists already hate Satanists … and every one else it appears. So we're half way there … Satanists vs. islamists … could be a win-win ? |

PC games are a billion dollar industry. Activists/Lobbyists can make money inserting themselves there . There isn't such an incentive to make capital over here. "I expect to see the Protocols of the Elders of Zion being linked to as legitimate gaming-friendly material soon." That would work more for RPG. |
