Hi Guys

Who makes good cattle figures in this scale?

The only ones I know of are the Gripping Beast Highland cattle, this is the kind of thing I am after:

For Renaissance period cattle you can get away with 25mm cattle as well, as this was a bit before the general 'improvement' of cattle breeds , with larger meat varieties and separate dairy breeds or indeed any sort of 'poll' breeds.

Warlord have a variety of cattle in their 'Blackpowder' and 'Bolt Action' ranges, including casualties.

The Old Minifig ranges had cattle in 25mm, including longhorn breeds. There are probably some possibilities in 'Wild West' ranges too.

ERTL's cattle are much closer to S scale than O. One on one they may look a little small but as a mass they can't be beat especially for the price.

Pegasus Hobbies have 1/48 farm animals that I use for all my 28mm games.
