Came across this unit during my research on French Light Infantry.
Can anyone advise me if they had a flag or fanion during their existence.
Any information appreciated. Thanks

May be the article on the Legion in the 2004/2 Le Bivouac by Didier Davin might be of help? Unfortunately I do not have a copy.

According to "La Légion germanique (1792-1793" by Arthur Chuquet link the Legion des Allobroges (comprised Savoisiens, Piemontais & inhabitants from Valais) was formed by the decree of 8 August 1792 – it comprised 14 companies each of 120 men – 7 carabineer & 7 fusilier; a regiment of light cavalry & 1 company of artillery. There is no mention of a standard but ….

According to French wiki, it had a brief existence, forming part of the Army of the Midi, under General Montesquiou – Fézensac. They occupied the Savoie in September 1792 in order to push residents to ask for their annexation by France.

During the first amalgamation in 1793:

The 1st Battalion was amalgamated into the 4th Demi-brigade legere bis.
The 2nd Battalion was ill be also amalgamated into the 4th Demi-brigade legere bis.

When the second amalgamation, the 4th Demi-brigade legere bis was incorporated into the 27th legere Demi-brigade.
