CVW-16
After doing a late war air wing I have made in roads on an earlier air wing based on the USS Oriskany. So far I have only spent any time on the crusaders. The Skyraiders are from an older project that I will leave in as I want to try some earlier CSAR scenarios. The A-4s at this stage are very simple schemes but I need to redo the tail lettering which will be sometime next week

I have run out of "US Stars n Bars" decals so a new order is in with Dom which will let me get on with the Skyhawks. The VF-162 all need Modex numbers on the nose and all the crusader variants need wing modex and the VFP-63 gets an AH wing code. The photos I have seem to show the VF squadrons having bare upper wings.

Thought you might like. I have only done starboard side cameras for the VFP-63 aircraft. I haven't found a decent port side view yet. Modex still to be added and then I can get on with the attack squadrons

Tempted to go a little bit early and do a pair of the USMC VMF(AW) from the early cruise as well (I have a couple of spare airframes)
