Here is my table, all set up for a six player game. There will just be two of us, but I think we will be able to manage. I am using 60mm figures. Individually based. But the units have the same foot print so I don't think there will be any issues. I am going to keep the 28mm / 40mm ranges for the game. I will post my thoughts on how the game plays out and how often we have to hunt up rules. There have been a lot of reviews of the written words so my review will only touch on that briefly. I want to report on how well the rules are organized to locate a rule quickly. How do the play sheets work out and how good are the quick reference sheets. link I was going to play the first scenario, but went for a generic set up instead. It has a mix of some of the second scenario in it though. I have not gone for points in building the armies. Everyone is pretty much the same for the first test play. So the more toys on the table, the better. Plus, my 7 year old son came home from school and sat down at the table and asked when we were playing. So I guess I get high marks from the 7 year old age bracket. It probably drops sharply as the age increases. :-) It's been a rough week. I am hoping my opponent tomorrow takes potty on the old man, but I know the Joker will not. :-) Matthew |

It's been a rough week. I am hoping my opponent tomorrow takes potty on the old man, but I know the Joker will not I am presuming you meant "pity" and not "potty" because well…the latter term would just be too weird. See you tomorrow. |

Yes, pity. See how bad the week has been? Crazy. Matthew |

I'm sorry for the blurry pictures. Man, nothing is working right today. |

Matthew, my first test of the rules is slated for Saturday too. We will be refighting Bunker Hill in 28mm. Likely four players will participate. As for the QRS, I consolidated everything and made my own. Really helps me get a grasp of the rules by making my own QRS. We will see if it survives contact with the game… |

In case you are wondering, Matthews collection really is THAT nice. No matter what's being played, I usually take a "pass and review" the 60mm stuff. |

What brand figures are those? |

Those are John Jenkins figures. They are some of the strongest figures I have ever gamed with. People knock them over or drop them to the floor and yet they have not scratched or broken. The bayonets hurt when you stab your fingers trying to pick one up to move. I always warn players to pick them up by moving your hand to pick up the middle of the figure. After being stuck a few times, the warning is understood. Here is a link to the Jenkins web site. johnjenkinsdesigns.com He has some really nice ranges. These are all 60mm and come painted. I play a lot of skirmish games with them. And yes they are a bit costly, but I think his work is fantastic and over many years of collecting I have enough troops to try a nice size battle. Matthew |

Best of luck with the first game run. For a play test [and a rough week], you've got a great looking setup to give the system a go. Looking forward to your AAR. |

Costly but very nice. If I hit the lottery… |
