Sometimes I get desperate for inspiration and I see many of my favorite blogs have disappeared or the authors have moved into something else entirely.

It's probably worth doing this thread again of asking what the best blogs are in each of the main categories. I only really do 1760-1901 so I'll let others do Ancients and World Wars, etc.

A note about inspiration should be in order – by that I mean, I want to see stuff I aspire too, or something that gives me new ideas or fresh approaches to old genres. I'm mostly interested in the attractive figures and terrain. I don't get a whole lot of thrills reading rules innovations but those can be good.

We will not likely agree as to what is "best". Instead ill put it this way: what's your favorite Napoleonic blog?

ACW?

Colonials?

FIW?

A quick vote for Peter's Blunders on the Danube site… link

I tend to find the blog sites and bookmark on my own blog Wagamerabbit site. Easy way to control the links for now. Right side column has the links pages plus many uniform link references too.

I second Peter's Blunders on the Danube!

Peter's is great, especially if you're into 25 & 28mm. But he also has allot of info on his blog that can come in handy.

But I'm into 18mm so I think my pal Paul's Blog is excellent.

Wow, thanks guys. And I agree about Paul's blog John (VB).

I made the decision a few years back not to limit my blog to the Napoleonic era, so you'll find quite a bit of other stuff there as well, and not much about the 18th century or later 19th.

I'm a decEnt painter, but no more than that,

I'll add a third (fourth?) for Peter's.

One is never short of inspiration when visiting Gonsalvo's site.
