What was the reasoning behind the name?

PzGeneral16 Oct 2014 1:11 p.m. PST

Thanks Ed, I just bought a print copy grin

You forgot to mention, with a print copy you also get a .pdf copy!

I think there's a movie coming out this week…Fury, maybe :)

David Manley16 Oct 2014 1:41 p.m. PST

I'm sure the title is purely coincidental and not a cynical attempt to cash in on the movie :)

Ed the Two Hour Wargames guy16 Oct 2014 1:47 p.m. PST

It's the first part of the back cover, which reads….

Hell Hath No Fury…
Like a M4A3E8

It's a quote from Lt. Kilroy. :)

Ed, is this a cut-down or modified version of Nuts or is it something very different?

Ed the Two Hour Wargames guy16 Oct 2014 2:39 p.m. PST

DColtman – It only covers armor actions. No infantry, AT guns, etc. 10 scenarios that are all about armor.

What I found out with NUTS is that the tank rules are underutilized and not many tanks saw action. In these scenarios we're talking 3 to 15 tanks per player. The scenarios are linked in a campaign but can be played as one off battles.

So it's totally compatible with NUTS and includes some counters so people can get playing within minutes instead of waiting on gathering enough models.

I would think anyone buying these rules would already have enough models (probably in multiple scales!). grin

What scale are the tanks?

Dave Jackson Supporting Member of TMP17 Oct 2014 4:56 a.m. PST

Didn't occur to me the name would be related to the movie?? No, the quote is "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned" frequently mis-quoted as "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", and it is also the name of a boardgame (S&T or The Wargamer) about the revolt of Boudicaa.

So, just wondered what the thought was for the name.

So World of Tanks but with models of tank that were actually made…as opposed to WoT made-up tanks.

Could be fun, Never get a chance to so many tanks on the table in one go.

British tanks due soon?

Ed the Two Hour Wargames guy17 Oct 2014 8:37 a.m. PST

Papa Sync – Can be played with any scale tanks.

Stenicplus – Thanks for the reference WoT, had to Google it to see what you were referring to. May be seeing Fury as a LnL Publishing computer game and or board game as well since we signed the contracts.

Yes, British and more due soon. They can be found in NUTS, but as I mentioned, I wanted to do a tank based campaign and scenarios.

Thanks again,
Ed
