Impressive!

Really enjoyed that -- so many interesting conversions.

I admire his tenacity, in carrying such an ambitious project through to completion.

Fantastic work. This is one of the most creative layouts that I've seen in a long time. I know this Dutch army as I tried to make a small unit of them for my VBCW contingent. I looked at all those same sources just to make up a unit of 16. I used Bob Murch's pulp figure German colonial figures for the Dutch.

Who can tell me the company that is referred to in the blog that makes Dutch figures, help.

Hello Bobngar

I'm pretty sure these are the Gothic Line Dutch troops –

Yes they are…very strange that this is not mentioned in the text…Some of explanation on behalf of those responsible should follow.

Nice range of figures. Do you mean there are two different heads for each figure in the package?

GOTHIC LINE MINIATURES17 Oct 2014 3:04 a.m. PST

Thank you Bobgnar, there are 4 different heads to choose from only 2 of the figures shown above have removable head option, the remainder have fixed heads with side cap or helmet.

FireZouave17 Oct 2014 4:56 a.m. PST

And cbaxter perhaps your friend should come and explain just why he bought his Dutch from me since I am the only one manufacturing them…they have my brand "Gothic Line" written underneath their bases…so its clear they are from me…and then he STATES they are made by another manufacturer?Quite strange right? To say the least…

If this Chris is the one I sold a lot of Dutch soldiers to he does know they are not made by no one else than me.
Here is where he states they are made by another brand(quote): "Elefantino 47mm antitank gun, warlord Italians with head swaps and some figure modding and repositioning check!"(unquote)

This is a serious situation and there might be consequences.

They've made the correction to the blog now.

indierockclimber19 Oct 2014 5:38 p.m. PST

The author made a mistake. Your threats are hollow, and hilarious. A friendly e-mail would have sufficed, rather than immediately jumping to legal threats.

GOTHIC LINE MINIATURES20 Oct 2014 2:26 a.m. PST

From their article quote "Elefantino 47mm antitank gun, (manufacturer's name removed – J) Italians with head swaps and some figure modding and repositioning check!" Unquote.

Part of the mistake is still there I tried to contact the author a few days ago …no answer to this day…still they are not Italians…they are 100%Dutch…
This article was expected with high hopes as you might gather…

Thank you very much Bill for looking into this I am sure it will (eventually) be corrected.
